Our Team
- and what we do
Both in Norway and Zambia, we have teams who run the school, with different responsibilities. Our team in Zambia have to do with the day-to-day running of the school. They deal with the admission of students, purchase of school supplies, uniforms and food, and to advertise for positions at the school when needed. In Norway we have other responsibilities. These include procurement of money and resources which are needed for salaries and other expenses. We advertise for the project and apply for funds, and we have the “overall responsibility” in hiring new teachers, transfer of salary and money for other expenses, etc.
Both teams make decisions with the schools best interests at heart, and there is good communication between the teams. Since the Norwegian team is responsible for procurement of resources and transfer of money, the Zambian team keep accounts of expenses and deliver it to us, so that we can have an overview of the different expenses, where do the money go, how much do we have to procure and transfer each month, and so on.
